Ice sculpture

In the early 1930's, long before he founded the Kellogg Studio, Stanley Kellogg designed and built monumental ice sculptures on Little Traverse Bay for two of Petoskey's Winter Carnivals. One of these great sculptures, the "Queen's Throne of Ice," is pictured here. The sculptures were illuminated by colored lights from within.
